Bob & Doug. They exploded through my freshman dorm at Colgate in the fall/winter of 1981 and for a while made plaid somewhat fashionable decades before the grunge crowd came in. That, and a stretch of abooot 20 days where the temp never got above 0F during the January term.. The female population in my dorm (and likely campus-wide) did not share our enthusiasm for the hosers.
