Is there such a thing as psychedelic children’s television programming? Born in 1967, I loved this show and song more than any other as a child. Is there anyone else in the progarchy audience who watched this as well?

One of my favourite shows as a kid, Brad. An even more psychedelic one was HR Puffenstuff (or something like that), with Jack Wild (the Artful Dodger in Oliver). No drug references there, honest 😉
All of Sid and Marty Krofft’s shows were weird, and my favorite was Lidsville (which starred Charles Nelson Reilly and Butch Patrick [of Addams Family fame]). Does anyone else remember Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp?
Yep, watched this on Saturday mornings at the tender age of oh, 6- or 7 (?!) and I see it as a foundation stone in subliminally preparing me for the wonderful world of music …:-))
Yep, loved this as a Kid. Not sure if you can get it over there, but search You Tube for Fingerbobs. UK Kids programme from a similar time. No drugs involved at all…
watched this as a Kid (and yes I also remember Lancelot Link), in fact one of my personal jokes is to say to people somewhat randomly “hey Drooper, take out the trash!”…of course almost no one ever gets it, only one person in the last 35 years has gotten the joke…
No, but the words ‘Secret Chimp’ strike a chord in me, like some hidden part of my consciousness is bursting to break its programming. Might also explain why I feel like a banana right now.
I’m looking forward to checking out all these shows again on YouTube when my kids are older. (Ah, YouTube, you provideth for me at the same time as you taketh away.)

HR Puffenstuff! Of course. How could I forget?

I suspect Sid & Marty were high on something other than Jesus given their shows – Puffnstuff, Land Of The Lost, Bugaloos, Sigmund…

Yeah, I loved the Banana Splits. Also left a lasting impression on me, which perhaps was not a good thing.
