Chris Isaak’s run of albums in the 1990s was spectacular. He is often pigeon-holed for his retro sound, but he is a tremendously talented songwriter. “San Francisco Days” evokes a sense of place and time that is uncanny, and “Forever Blue” is an all-time great record by and for the brokenhearted.

Sorry, but I HAD to comment on this one, because You included one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE Female singing-voices I’ve EVER heard!!! Ms. Natalie-Merchant!!! The most beautiful, intriguing, graceful, flawless, and inspiring voice I’ve ever heard!!! She could sing an Insurance-logo tune off of a television-commerical and SHE………….could turn it into something that would bring a Tear to your eye!!! 😉
