What do Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, and the Portnoy Men Have in Common?

Why, this awesome picture of course!

Too much awesome in this picture! Alex Lifeson, Max Portnoy, Geddy Lee, and Mike Portnoy

This was taken last night at a Rush concert Mike Portnoy took his son to.  Apparently Mike signed autographs for fans sitting near him at the concert.  I can’t think of a better night than seeing Rush and meeting Mike Portnoy!  Maybe meeting Rush, seeing them play, and meeting Mike Portnoy could top that.

Ya I couldn’t believe it when I saw it on MP’s Twitter page! I saw him play “Spirit of Radio” with a Detroit band called Tiles (opening for Haken) a few months ago, and it was incredible! Every bit as good as Neal Peart, and I mean that with the upmost respect for both Peart and Portnoy, the two greatest drummers in the world!

I read somewhere that Neil never does the Meet and Greets with fans. In the Lighted Stage documentary he mentioned that he thought it was pointless, and told a story about how he idolized The Who but never expected that he would meet them, so he carries that over.
