  1. HOLY SCHNIKES!!! Well……….I suppose we all, should NOT be suprised by this,as Brad clearly stated in this post!!! It just hits the eardrum (no-pun intended!!!) wrong when ya FIRST hear yourself SAY it,is all!!!

However, from watching a few interviews on YouTube where they were talking ONLY WITH………….Geddy and Alex,BOTH of THEM,were clearly speaking of WANTING to play even MORE,after this tour, but then……..Geddy also remarked, that NOTHING is “set” yet,of course!!! So THAT told ME,that THOSE TWO are not yet ready to hang up ANYTHING yet!!! But Neil however…………..with his problems playing long-shows,etc……….they of course, were Respecting “Neil” when Geddy made that remark on any “future” plans? So that’s understandable, and knowing the rigors of being away from home so much, while having a lil girl to raise, can be VERY TOUGH,so I admire Neil for taking a “permanent-vacation” if You will!!! But who knows, the “bug” may bite him YET………….and he may just SHOW UP somewhere no one is expecting, and get busy behind the drumkit again!?!? 🙂

Wow, this is huge. Better he do it on his own terms though. I’m sure I speak for all Rush fans when I say thanks to Neil for everything he has done over the years. Rock music will never be the same.

Sooooo… how long before Mike Portnoy becomes the new drummer for Rush? Hehe, just kidding.

Hey, he filled in for Avenged Sevenfold, and now Twisted Sister. If anyone were to replace the great Neil Peart, only Portnoy could do it. But ya, it was in jest, seeing as MP has become the go to replacement drummer these days.
