Completely AGREE with ya Bryan,on Happy-Birthday Wishes to Mr.Portnoy (forgive my Conservatism here!!! Lol.) As I’ve stated on here BEFORE (Proarchy),I’ve never EVER been a big-fan of Dream-Theatre and Rarely even listen to them (even back when they were HUGE!!!),HOWEVER…………I HAVE seen Mike Portnoy’s drumming abilities,STARTING with Dream-Theatre and the expansive lists of other groups he’s played with,since that time,and have truly come to LOVE his drumming-style!!! Being a drummer myself,that’s usually the VERY FIRST THING I listen to,is the “drums” in a song I’ve never heard!!! From the get-go,each time I hear a song with Portnoy as the drummer,it ALWAYS excites me to KNOW,I’m in for quite the drumming roller-coaster ride!!! Haha. HAPPY B-day Mike,and Best-wishes!!! 🙂
