If you have not heard the news by now, Bob Dylan, an American icon, became the first musician to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. The decision, not surprisingly, ignited a firestorm of debate. Is Dylan worthy of the honor? I am curious to hear what fellow Progarchists and others have to say.
I would hope any Nobel award would be a subject of debate. That said, I can’t imagine a counter argument for Dylan deserving the award. The debate should be why he didn’t win it sooner.

As Craig said Why did he not win this sooner? I would add that he deserved this 40 years ago, but less so now. It becomes a matter of how the awards given out, not one of deserving.
