The song was great in 1982 and it’s still great in 2017.
The band is, too – fellow progheads would do well to check out their last album, “XIV.”
Jessica Furseth of Motherboard weighs in on its allure while taking a few jabs at it…no matter, read on!

One of my favorite songs. Pop music should aspire to be this good. Alas, it seldom does.

I share that sentiment. Not sure what gets me more…the instrumentation, or Bobby Kimball’s sweet highs during the chorus. Talk about a mountain of a chorus.

Thank you both for your comments! If you want to check out a cool cover of the tune, head to YT and look for Ringo’s All-Starr Band playing the track – features Lukather, Richard Page of Mr. Mister covering Kimball’s highs on that awesome chorus, Greg Rollie, Gregg Bissonette, Mark Rivera, Todd Rundgren…and some Beatles chap.
Also, Ms. Lloyd, I gotta ask: Is there any new music in the pipeline? 🙂

Yes, but not in the near future. I’ve sketched a lot of ideas which are accumulating on my studio recorder, but nothing that feels like a cohesive project just yet. I’m also trying to wrap up a novel. I will post to Progarchy when I’m laying down tracks for the new material. Thanks for asking.
